Mycological Guide Training
Mycotourism is one of the main ecosystem services provided by the forested areas of our country and a nature-based opportunity that, if properly managed, can be compatible with the conservation of productive habitats. Despite this, many mycotourists lack the necessary knowledge to fully enjoy the experience, making the role of a mycological guide essential.
In Aragón, there is a very limited number of people with this certification. Therefore, FUNGIVERSO will support a local entrepreneur established as an active tourism company to improve the quality of mycological guide services in the Albarracín Community Mycological Park and align them with the management strategy and best practices promoted by the Aragón Mycological Parks Association.
Additionally, this business model will be scalable to other Mycological Parks in Aragón, with the entrepreneur actively contributing to the training of other entrepreneurs to expand the network of certified mycological guides in the region.
Compensation Action:
The number of certifications will be determined by the number of participants in the dissemination event and a study of training interest based on registrations in similar courses on mycological guide training. Additionally, as compensation, a detailed manual for mycological guide training will be created, serving as a foundation for the future certification of professionals.
